Calm Planet does not require an account and contains no ads, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. It does not send children’s personal information to the developer or third parties.
Data on Your Device
Countdown status, day/night mode, sound preferences, and custom transition times are stored on this device. A parent’s 4-digit PIN is stored in Apple Keychain. This data is used only to provide app features and is never uploaded to our servers.
Location Data
The app requests approximate location only when a parent selects “Local Sunrise & Sunset.” Location is used and stored only on your device to calculate sunrise and sunset, and is never sent to us. You can revoke access in System Settings or use a custom schedule or manual mode instead.
Notifications & Live Activities
When a countdown starts, the app schedules a local notification with your permission and uses Apple Live Activities to show the remaining time on the Lock Screen and supported Dynamic Island devices. Countdown data is provided only to the device system for display and is never sent to our servers. You can turn off notifications or Live Activities at any time in System Settings.
In-App Purchases
Purchases and restores for the full version are handled by the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store payment details such as credit card numbers. The app receives only product information and entitlement status from Apple to determine whether features should be unlocked. Apple’s handling of data is governed by its privacy policy.
Children’s Privacy
The app does not ask children for their name, birthday, email address, photos, or other personal information. It does not provide chat, public sharing, or user-generated content features. Purchases, location permission, and settings are protected by parent verification.
Policy Updates
If the app’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date and provide notice when appropriate.
